The Kenya Horticultural Society was established in 1923 and celebrates its Centenary year in 2023! Like our members today, the founders shared and interest in flowers, plants, trees and gardens. As a society we work to foster a love of gardening and the natural world.

The Kenya Horticultural Society is Kenya’s leading organization / charity for the promotion of gardening, safe and environmentally friendly horticultural practices and the celebration of plants and green spaces.

Grow Your Knowledge
The Kenya Horticultural Society publishes a growing range of books and booklets targeted at the Kenyan gardener. “Gardening in Eastern Africa” is our most important reference book. It was first published in 1937 and is now in it’s seventh edition. This book is your most important aid to gardening, either as a seasoned plants person or a beginner.
P.S: We are also about to launch our pilot education program ‘Kids Grow Kenya’
