Katy moved to Kenya in 2013 from the UK and ran a landscaping company before founding her own houseplants business in 2018. Prior to a career involving plants she worked in television production and the only plant she owned was a basil from a supermarket. Katy has been on the committee of the KHS since 2016 and became chair in 2019. Her aims are to grow involvement and membership of the KHS through increased community engagement, a more robust digital presence and highlighting the passion and creativity of local businesses in the sector.
